The Promised Recipe

Here is the Monkey Bread recipe from my queen of baking: My Mom :)

Okay, here it is for how we made it Christmas eve.

MONKEY BREAD
- 1 loaf of riches bread dough for each pan (we used 3)
- about 1 stick or butter per pan
- sugared cinnamon
- brown sugar
- butterscotch pudding (not instant)
- walnuts or pecans

Cut bread dough in small pieces, roll in melted butter then in sugared cinnamon. Put in pan with layers of nuts and sprinkling pudding and brown sugar. Sprinkle top with butterscotch pudding powder and brown sugar. Put pats of butter on top to melt while baking. Cover with towel and let rise for at least 2 hours (can let rise over night in semi cool place). Follow directions for baking on bread bag. (375 for 25 min.)

Variations:
* Nuts, pudding and/or brown sugar may be optional.
* You may use pillsbury biscuits that come in the tube and then you do not have to let it rise.

Love ya,
Mom
