Fall Family Fun! {Harrisonburg Family Photographer}

I first met this cute little family when their youngest was a newborn. They brought him to me for his newborn pictures. I can't believe how big he has gotten! This session was originally scheduled for October when Hurricane Sandy breezed though and left us with dreary clouds and rain the entire week of their session. We rescheduled for November and I was a little worried that it would be cold. We were blessed with an unseasonably warm weekend though which made for some great fall pictures!

It turned out to be a gorgeous weekend to sneak in a few fall sessions before all the gorgeous color disappeared! I really enjoyed this session. Aren't the views just beautiful? And the family is gorgeous too so I couldn't go wrong! Dad, I know you weren't super thrilled about being paraded through your neighborhood all dressed up but I think it was worth it! Don't you?

Choices, Choices {Harrisonburg Family Photographer}

Sometimes I think that the hardest part of the entire photo session process is narrowing down which photos to put on the blog! Especially with a session like this when I love so many of the photos and I want to share them all with you. But I also want to keep a little mystery for the final reveal of photos in the gallery to the family. Choices, choices! This session was a piece of cake with the kids full of personality and willing to do pretty much anything I asked them to. Their mom is also a friend of mine that recently moved to Florida so the session wasn't just business that day. It was the chance to catch up! Enjoy your peek! Look who showedup! A Natural {Harrisonburg Childrens Photographer}

I love it when clients (especially children) are excited about and involved in their sessions! I think it really shows in the final product with beautiful images that reflect who they are, from location, to clothes to poses and facial expressions. This gorgeous little girl from Saturday certainly fit in this category. She mostly did my job for me suggesting poses and locations. She was great! Even the dogs got in on the action and posed like champs! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Beautiful day. Beautiful Views. Beautiful family. I had another great session with Hadassah and her family! The family pictures that I got may have been the easiest family pictures I have ever taken. Everyone was so easy to pose and they were full of smiles!Thank you for a great session! I love this picture. I have similar pictures of the same pose that are closer to the family and show less of the background but I just love the beautiful vista behind them! I think this image would make a great canvas!

Loved {Harrisonburg Family Photographer}

Meet the adorable Baby E and his family. It's easy to see that this little guy is doted on by not only his parents but by both sets of grandparents (and a great Grandma too!) This was an incredibly fun session, getting to know the family and talking about our old stomping grounds of Jersey! The family picture on the right may be my favorite from the session (for now, anyway! There were so many good ones it is hard to choose!) We thought he was done with smiling for the camera and were packing up to leave when the wind started blowing and he started giggling. I made Dad jump in and started snapping away! So glad we caught this one! And here is one of the entire clan! This is one lucky little guy to have all of these doting grandparents closeby!

Will Work for Marshmallows {Harrisonburg Baby Photographer}

Sometimes I ask my clients to do strange things. Most of the time they give me a quizzical look and then oblige my strange request,trusting my vision that it will make for a great picture. (Most of the time it does while occasionally the results aren't quite what I had in mind). So when I asked Mom to place her little girl in the ivy in front of the jewelry store I definitely got strange looks. Not from Mom, though! Hadassah surely thought we had lost our minds! But when she discovered that there were marshmallows as part of the deal she went along happily an I think we got some great shots!

I had a really fun session on Monday with an adorable little guy who just turned three. I love exploring their world with them and snapping pictures along the way. Such a fun age. I also shot at a new location, Grand Caverns Park. I love finding great new places to shoot! All in all it was a great session. Enjoy your preview, Mom!

My Own {Harrisonburg Childrens Photographer}

We had cousins down for a visit this weekend and we always take a shot of the kids together. I can tell they are growing up by how the difficulty of getting all 6 of them in one picture is starting to lessen. Who knows which ones are mine?

Friends {Harrisonburg Family Photographer}

By the end of a session I often feel like friends with my clients. I love it though, when our relationship grows to be more than the photographer-client type and we become true friends. That is exactly what happened with this family. I first met them when our two youngest children were still newborns. I did a newborn session of their littlest cutie over two years ago and we have gotten closer ever since! Knowing you is a blessing and getting to photograph your growing babies is just a bonus!

"Two" Sweet {Harrisonburg Family Photographer}

I had a shoot with a sweet little family of four on Tuesday. Their two little ones were simply adorable but they sure did make work for their smiles! They won a mini session and mini digital package that I had donated for a church function and they picked a beautiful day to use it! It looks like fall but it certainly didn't feel like it!

This sweet family had a mini session with me on Saturday. Their boys were a bit hesitant at first but warmed up quickly and I think we got some adorable shots! It was a gorgeous fall day that made for the perfect backdrop for portraits! I hope you enjoy your preview!

Growing Family {Harrisonburg Baby Photographer}

I had a lot of fun on Sunday photographing the second child of our good friends! I photographed them when they were a new family of three and now they are an incredibly adorable family of four! Baby Phineas is two month old, which can sometimes be a challenging age to photograph but he did great! Even falling asleep for a short time (with the help of Dad's super soothing bouncing trick). It was really great to see you guys! I hope you enjoy your preview!

Troopers {Harrisonburg Childrens Photographer}

These four little cuties are real troopers. You couldn't tell by the smiles on their faces but it is actually raining on them during these photos. I didn't hear one word of complaint! After being rained out once, Mom and I decided to just go ahead with the shoot yesterday and I think it was worth it!
