I had the opportunity to meet and photograph an adorable little 3 month old girl and her parents yesterday afternoon. She was the sweetest, most content little thing. We were even able to get a few sweet, sleepy shots but boy did she make me work for every smile! It was definitely worth it though! Isn't she darling?!
This adorable family came all the way from Boston for their session! Okay, Okay...visiting family for Christmas may have payed a small part in their trip to Virginia ;) But seriously, they were adorable! And little Kale was nothing but smiles for me. I was glad we got their session in while it was still on the warmer side. I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks!
Beautiful day. Beautiful Views. Beautiful family. I had another great session with Hadassah and her family! The family pictures that I got may have been the easiest family pictures I have ever taken. Everyone was so easy to pose and they were full of smiles!Thank you for a great session!
Meet the adorable Baby E and his family. It's easy to see that this little guy is doted on by not only his parents but by both sets of grandparents (and a great Grandma too!) This was an incredibly fun session, getting to know the family and talking about our old stomping grounds of Jersey!
Sometimes I ask my clients to do strange things. Most of the time they give me a quizzical look and then oblige my strange request,trusting my vision that it will make for a great picture. (Most of the time it does while occasionally the results aren't quite what I had in mind). So when I asked Mom to place her little girl in the ivy in front of the jewelry store I definitely got strange looks. Not from Mom, though! Hadassah surely thought we had lost our minds! But when she discovered that there were marshmallows as part of the deal she went along happily an I think we got some great shots!
Remember this sweet couple whose Maternity photos I did a while back? Well their gorgeous baby boy ,Luke, made his appearance in late November! I was so excited to do his newborn photos (and hang out with his great parents in the process!) He was WIDE awake most of the time but we waited him out and got some great shots!
For this first shot I had visions of little Luke all curled up sleeping on his belly with a Christmas hat on in front of these lights. Luke, however, had different ideas. Thankfully his idea was pretty good too ;)
This sweet family had a mini session with me on Saturday. Their boys were a bit hesitant at first but warmed up quickly and I think we got some adorable shots! It was a gorgeous fall day that made for the perfect backdrop for portraits! I hope you enjoy your preview!
I had a lot of fun on Sunday photographing the second child of our good friends! I photographed them when they were a new family of three and now they are an incredibly adorable family of four! Baby Phineas is two month old, which can sometimes be a challenging age to photograph but he did great! Even falling asleep for a short time (with the help of Dad's super soothing bouncing trick). It was really great to see you guys! I hope you enjoy your preview!

I had a session on Thursday with an incredibly fun family who was up for anything. I got some really great smiles from their little cuties. ..and a dollar short. Well, this post is more than a day late (and I'm probably more than a dollar short) but "better late than never" they say. June 8th was My baby girl's 2nd Birthday! I debated whether to label this post with "Baby Photographer" or "Childrens Photographer". I settled on baby because I want to hold onto her baby days as long as I can!

Happy Happy Birthday, my sweet little girl! You are such a joy in our family. Always the life of the party. Such a BIG personality in such a tiny person. Some of the things that I love about this stage of your life are
~That you love to play "This little piggie" and I often find you laying on the floor with one shoe off playing this with your own toes
~That you are so affectionate. You will often sneak up to me just for a quick kiss or to wrap your little arms tight around my neck.
~That you call flowers "beautifuls"
~That you love to "read" and be read to. It isn't unusual to find you sitting by a book shelf with books spread all around you.
~Your concern for others when you think someone is sad or hurt. If a sister or brother is crying you often can be found sitting next to her, rubbing her back. And if someone says ouch you always respond with "Are you OK?"
I can't believe it has already been two years since the day you joined our family and we couldn't imagine life without you!

I know I have said it before but I love having the opportunity to watch through my lens as my clients grow! It was sweet Hadassah's first birthday on Saturday. She has grown so much! Here she was as a newborn...
